Swap codes, then hop over to each other's farms.
Only changes the menus, panels and buttons. The farm's lighting is set above.
The farm saved in the cloud and the one on this device are different. Pick the one to carry on with. The other one will be replaced.
Right-drag (or Q/E) turns the view, the mouse wheel (or +/-) zooms, and WASD, the arrow keys or middle-drag move it. R goes back to the field and H (or clicking Marigold) steps into her farm shop; Esc steps back out. On a phone, use two fingers to turn, pinch and slide. Hold the phone sideways and press ⛶ for the full-screen layout: tools along the bottom, and the Basket, Shop, Market and other panels behind the buttons on the right (tap one again or × to close it). On an iPhone, use Share → Add to Home Screen instead, then open the game from there. F11 (or the ⛶ button) plays full screen.
Build a roadside Market (Market tab, or Buildings at Marigold's) and place it just outside the fence on the road side. Click it (or press M) to walk over and put crops on its shelves. Villagers stroll along the road every 30-60 seconds between 7:00 and 19:00; each stops, picks something from the shelves and pays full price. Saturday is market day, with twice the customers. Upgrade slots, signposts and baskets in the Workshop.
Across the road from Marigold's shop lies the pasture (press P to look). From level 5 you can buy its workshop yard and build a bakery, which turns wheat and vegetables into bread, muffins, rolls and pizza: pick a recipe in the Bakery tab and it bakes by itself, even while you are away. Click the bakery to collect. From level 9 a potting shed can stand beside it, mixing plant tonic (and from level 14 golden tonic, with orchard apples) for your beds. The other lots open later, for animals.
Once all 12 vegetable plots are yours, the tree farm across the river goes on sale, with six plots of its own (press O to look). Plant saplings from the seed bag, water them, lay compost as mulch, and prune grown fruit trees with the shears 6 before they fruit. Fruit trees bear again and again; timber trees are felled with the axe 7 for logs, then you clear the stump and replant.
The first time you play on a new day, Marigold sends a gift. Come back day after day for bigger gifts, up to a garden gnome on the seventh; miss a day and the streak only steps back one day. You also get three small daily tasks (Goals tab), each with a reward and a bonus for doing all three, and one special order that pays double until midnight.
Orders go out on your delivery truck and are paid when it gets back (1-4 minutes, longer for bigger orders). More trucks are in the Workshop. Each bed you harvest earns XP, and so do sales and deliveries (more for bigger ones). Every level opens something new: seeds, buildings, decorations or upgrades. Buy decorations in the Decorations tab at Marigold's, and use the Decorate tool 8 to move or sell placed ones. The well behind the farm refills your can.
Every crop gets ★. Boosters 5 (click the tool again to choose one) go on a bed before sowing or while the crop is young: compost (from level 2) gives ★★, plant tonic ★★★ and golden tonic golden ★★★★, and each makes the crop grow a quarter faster. A better one replaces a worse one. Fertilizer is separate: 2 to 5 extra crops at the next harvest. Hover over a bed (or tap it) to see what is on it. More stars mean higher prices and better show scores.
A whole day and night lasts 24 minutes: one game hour is one real minute. Nights are dark; from 19:00 you can Sleep to skip to morning. Crops come in three kinds: quick ones for while you play (2 to 6 minutes), ones that are ready before you stop (10 to 20 minutes), and slow ones to plant before you leave (30 to 48 minutes). A bar under each plant shows how far along it is (amber means it's waiting for water). The game saves every 30 seconds, and when you come back later everything carries on as if you'd left it running. Space pauses.
